According to Harper's Bazaar the official wedding invite to Harry and Meghan's wedding went out last week. A note states that guests are urged to wear 'uniform, morning coat, or lounge suit' or a 'day dress with hat'.

The former applies to men and the latter to women.
Now since my invite probably got lost in the post...
And because gender is fluid, I tried my hand at a few options from both dress code camps for the big day, held this coming May.
It will be spring in London, so a crisp -4 degrees Celsius, then?
Lets get dressed:
Uniform
Since check seems to be everywhere (I swear I saw a poodle donning a check pullover yesterday), this Topshop check blazer, R1499 and skirt, R799 combo caught my eye.
To achieve royal levels by means of height, I'll add a magnificent pair of heels from Witchery, R1399.
And a beret by Crystal Birch, R850.
Think I've checked the uniform box?
Morning coat (or the Meghan Markle, if you will)
What is a morning coat anyway? A coat worn in the morning? No, that's probably too obvious. I am thinking a light coat, with heels a la, um... Kate Middleton.
One simply cannot stomach a heavy coat before 10am.
Here are two options...
Check (again!). Topshop coat, R1999.
Or this Witchery version, R2499.
Again, to be worn with a pair of killer heels and that chic dove grey beret.
Lounge suit
Pyjamas, but not quite pyjamas. Maybe something closer to what Liberace would wear, without all the bling. (This is Meghan and Harry's day afterall)
This Studio W velvet top, R499 and maroon trousers, also Studio W, R399 paired with heels, a coat and a beret.
(Apologies, this mirror was quite dirty)
Day dress with hat
Frankly, this option sounds so boring. And unless it's Princess Beatrice's hat at Kate and Wills' wedding levels of weird, it will remain as dull as a London sky.
This Chanel-esque tweed dress from Forever New, R1199 and light blue coat from Topshop, R1499 will get you past the Queen, but will it be enough to land you attention from the eagerly awaiting paparazzi? I doubt.
