The ideal jersey for those who hate layering

accreditation
Let’s talk knitwear. As my favourite season approaches, the gloomy light of a late sunrise and early sunset makes for hermit-ing, dinner parties, fireplaces and affectionate clothing. I relish the colder months like the last piece of chocolate - a time to actually wear pants, socks and soft, fluffy jumpers.

I’ve decided to simplify this season’s wardrobe, instead of spending winter piling on all the layers, and then peeling them off once you get indoors – the revolution of the cashmere knit came to me while stalking the new Country Road collection.

All you actually need is a silk cami and a well fabricated knit jersey - one made from quality wool - to keep you balmy when it gets below 15 degrees. Throw on a scarf and pack an extra jacket if it's snowing (calm down, Southern Hemisphere) and you are ready for the day.

This cashmere beauty (it comes in light grey and pink as well) is legit the softest, most gracious and magical fairy excuse for a knit.

Proper.

Don’t be person tenting in 17 layers, having one of those hot moments where you start panicking while ripping off your clothes. Kinda not cool.
