The international fashion week season is upon us and it kicks off the latest trend for the upcoming fashion season.

New York Fashion is on everyone’s lips and social media timelines, between the celebrity and street style looks what stand out is an accessory trend that might knock your socks off. Whether too bazaar or a maximalist’s dream, could this face jewellery be the next 'it' trend? 

In previous runways designers such as Chanel, Fendi and many others showed their latest lines with stacked handbags, this time designer duo Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Pansczczyk of AREA sent their models down the runway embellished with elaborate jewellery – primarily on their faces.

The AREA fashion show was not the first time we saw face jewellery, we saw different styles off the runway as glamorously worn by rapper Rico Nasty on day one of New York Fashion Week. This Rico Nasty look was widely celebrated as she conveniently released a single called Fashion Week.

Runway coach extraordinaire J. Alexander, doing what Miss J does best, walked down the Mrhua Mrshua freckled in pearls in one of the most gloriously striking beauty looks yet.

Personally, I’m obsessed.
