Donna McPherson, Buying Manager at leading value retailer Ackermans, believes that underwear is more than just a layer of material beneath your clothing – the right bra can smooth and even improve your silhouette, without costing an arm and a leg!

“If you’re all about curling up on the couch this Valentine’s Day and indulging in some pampering, I would recommend a soft cup bra for added comfort - minus the wires,” says McPherson. “This style is so comfortable you can even fall asleep in it! And why stop there? Immerse yourself in comfort with some fluffy slippers and a gown – it’s so much better than flowers,” giggles McPherson.

“If you are planning a normal day with your loved one(s), I would recommend a soft-cup or classic t-shirt bra to be worn beneath a fitted T-shirt. These types of bras provide comfort, support and movability, whilst also being less visible," says McPherson.
