The wait finally is over, Baby Phat’s new collection is here and it’s giving us the perfect 90s nostalgia.

The iconic streetwear brand has officially re-launched, this time in collaboration with popular retail chain Forever 21.

According to Bustle, in March Kimora Lee Simmons-Leissner, who is the founder of the brand, announced that the fashion line would be back in stores. This comes after Kelly Company acquired the brand in 2014.

The now 20-year-old Baby Phat has returned in its recognisable sleek cat logo. The Ad campaign for the new line is modelled by Kimora’s daughters Aoki Lee and Ming Lee Simmons - with a special appearance from Hip Hop Mogul Sean Comb’s twin daughters -  Jessie and D’Lila. Kimora is also featured.

In a statement to Refinery29, Kimora says: “When I created Baby Phat 20 years ago, it was because women – especially women of colour – had no voice at all in the streetwear category.”

As an ode to its roots the new collection features tube tops, chunky gold earrings, one-shoulder crops and gradient lens sunglasses.

The line keeps its relevance with the always trending animal print, biker shorts, ‘chunky’ sneakers, rhinestone hair clips and cat eye sunnies.
