"Fashion is not about 'oh, let me sit down on Tueday at 9am and think of a theme' - it's travel, it's people, it's things that happen in life..." says designer Michael Kors, explaining the multiple elements that inspired the inception of his latest collection. 

Similarly to Prabal Gurung's interpretation of what America means to him in his Spring/Summer offering exhibiting a marriage of fond memories and political commentary at his show earlier this week, Michael Kors' collection also speaks to patriotism and a sentimental attachment to the DNA of being an American.

"That's what America's about. We are about the possibility of something different and something new happening," says the fashion maven. 

He adds that All Access Kors was therefore made up of "looking at the sportswear that's so American and finding this wonderful balance of power and glamour."
