#MondayMotivation: 3 must have trends that will leave you feeling dreamy

accreditation

Last week’s Cape Town storms and single-digit temps have confirmed that winter is indeed here, but that should not dull your sparkle or shine. These three trends will leave you looking modish and feeling dreamy even on the harshest of winter days.

Satin

Don’t throw out the idea of wearing satin in winter! The trick to getting it right and staying warm is layering up. It is a great idea to team it with a warm, soft textile such as faux fur or cashmere to complete your sophisticated look.

And if you really can’t imagine yourself wearing a satin dress in this weather, or would just like to keep your look more relaxed and sporty; bomber jackets and satin joggers are a great weekend alternative.

Glitter

Hop onto the glitter train and let your shoes do the talking! It’s hard to not make a statement and leave a trail of magic behind you in glitter boots. Whether you’re an ankle boot or thigh-high fan glitter boots are a sure way to unleash your inner-diva.

Who says glittery dresses should only be worn at night? Ditch the myth and wear yours boldly during the day - even to the office.

Layer a coat over the dress to subdue the shine and keep your accessories as neutral as possible if you’re feeling a little self-conscious about being seen in one by your boss.

Velvet

A notable classic, easy to style and warm to wear, velvet ticks all the right boxes. It is so easy to love due to its versatility; from outerwear pieces to leggings, headwraps, shoe and bags - there is something for everyone.

Make sure not to shy away from the embellished and embroidered pieces, especially if you’re not afraid to push some boundaries.
