Let's face it, having to constantly play catch-up with fads and fashions can sometimes not only be a daunting exercise, but a tedious and expensive one too.

No one wants to have to push the dress they bought only four months ago to the back of their cupboard purely because it was from a "2018 collection." 

And very few people still do chase trends these days because we've embraced individuality over capitalism. Even when it comes to phones and gadgets, the pressure is not so intense anymore (unless I'm speaking for myself here). 

So if we can keep our phones for a minimum of 18 months, we should be able to do the same with some of our favourite items. I mean, how exciting is it to find a different way to wear something you've had for two years?

Fun as it may be to go shopping every now and then, it can be fulfilling sometimes to know that you bought items with longevity and that you won't have to replenish as often as underwear.
