#WednesdayWishlist: the time has come for new lingerie

accreditation

It’s crazy to think that we’re barely into the middle of the first month and yet Valentine’s Day ads are already making their rounds.

I mean, most of us are still digesting our food from Christmas and trying to recover from the post-holiday blues.

But this doesn’t change the fact that Valentine's Day is a mere five weeks away and whether you plan to spend the day alone, with bae or even future bae, now is the time to shop undies.

Regardless of your relationship status, come the 14th of February, there’s no rule against spoiling yourself with some new lingerie.

There aren’t many things that compare to the confidence boost that you enjoy from wearing a new set that lifts, tucks and holds everything in place without the dreaded VPL, (visible pantyline) or limp machine tangled straps, right?

However, before your next purchase, make sure to consider these 3 tips:

Health

Whatever your preference, be it lace or cotton, consider your comfort, but most importantly, your health. According to experts, not all underwear that looks good does good for your sensitive lady bits.

Find the right shape for you

Secondly, one size does not fit all. So, if you suspect that there’s a better shape for you, seek advice. Be sure to choose the best underwear for your body type.

Invest in a fitting

I spent the first ten years of my bra-wearing days in the wrong bra size, and I didn’t even know it until I invested in a professional fitting. There are stores that offer this service free of charge while other professionals charge a minimal fee.

Trust me, you’ll love yourself for this form of self-empowerment.
