MSC Cruises, the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and brand market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa has a truly magnificent fleet, each one with something unique to offer.

MSC Cruises South Africa Managing Director Ross Volk says, ‘We have now designed five spectacular prototypes; each one designed to create a unique guest experience and meet the changing needs of the modern cruise guest. Our guests, no matter which ship they’re on, will always experience a journey of endless enrichment.’

Here are your options

Floating Condos

Inspired by the enviable beach condo concept, sister ships MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview are designed to make the most of the glorious summer sun and bring you closer to the beauty of the sea. MSC Seaside, which debuted in December, has two unique glass-floored catwalks, a waterfront boardwalk that wraps around the ship, and panoramic lifts that connect everything together. You almost never have to tear your gaze away from the natural beauty around you.

Oceans Of Extravagant Delights

Designed for sheer pleasure no matter what the season, MSC Meraviglia and MSC Bellissima both feature a Broadway theatre as well as a purpose-built Carousel Lounge where you can enjoy dinner and Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows, created exclusively for MSC Cruises by the world leader in entertainment, Cirque du Soleil.

These two ships also feature a promenade with an enormous LED sky screen dome that displays spectacular designs like starry nights and breath-taking sunrises, an astounding array of dining venues and dance floors, a full-size bowling alley, an amusement park and an exciting aqua park with no less than three waterslides. MSC Meraviglia debuted earlier last year in the Mediterranean, and MSC Bellissima is set to cruise the Med from March 2019. MSC Meraviglia is also the ship to keep your eyes on for grand Baltic tours from Germany to majestic Iceland.

Mediterranean Luxuries At Sea

Real stone piazzas and spectacular features like sweeping Swarovski crystal grand staircases and magical infinity pools that extend seamlessly out to sea set a sublime tone of luxury on MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa. It’s all the elegance, glamour, and opulence you can handle, and every facility you could imagine for adults, kids, and teens from casinos, Broadway-scale theatres, and sun decks complete with spa treatments to Tiki bars and the splash-packed fun of aqua parks.  Both luxurious ships cruise the Mediterranean and the Caribbean extensively, and while MSC Divina could whisk you from Genoa to Miami on a 22 night grand voyage, MSC Preziosa promises a delightful 12 nights from Italy to Barbados. The choices are always plentiful

Living The Dream In Splendid Style

MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia might carry you to the most desirable destinations in the world, but they just happen to be unforgettably beautiful destinations in their own rights. Like every Mediterranean masterpiece, every designer detail is exquisite, from the staterooms to the themed bars and restaurants. And like every great city, both ships offer worlds within worlds for the entire family. From restorative havens in the adults-only Top 18 sun decks and exotic MSC Aurea Spas to the fantastic facilities and clubs for kids and teens, everyone finds their happy on board.

MSC Fantasia will carry you from one delight to another in the Mediterranean, and with a new itinerary as of May 2018, MSC Splendida will visit some of the most incredible cruise destinations from China to Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and United Arab Emirates.

Feasts For The Senses

MSC Magnifica and MSC Poesia marry traditional craftsmanship with ground-breaking design in a way that amazes even the frequent traveller. MSC Magnifica with her impressive leisure facilities, sky-lit indoor pool, panoramic discotheque, 4D cinema, and endless varieties and possibilities for those days at sea, and MSC Poesia with her spectacular foyer waterfall, Zen garden, giant poolside cinema screen, sumptuous designs, and everything from a dinosaur play area for the kids to a Mojito cocktail bar for the adults: these ships are veritable feasts for every sense.

It’s no surprise that MSC Magnifica is the world cruise ship that will call in at 49 ports in 32 countries in 119 days as of next year. MSC Poesia cruises the Mediterranean as well as South America, and is available for grand voyage bookings from Venice to Santos, Brazil, calling in at Malta, Spain, and Morocco along the way.

Spacious Worlds At Sea

With ample deck space to unwind under the sun, plenty of shimmering pools, pampering Turkish baths and saunas, full gyms, spectacular theatres, and superlative choices in wining, dining, shopping, and entertainment for young and old, MSC Orchestraand MSC Musica promise that life on board can be exactly what you want it to be.  You can catch MSC Orchestra on a cruise of the Mediterranean, or explore the Baltics, or even take a grand voyage from Italy to Argentina. And MSC Musica? You don’t need to go very far to experience this elegant ship because she’s headed for South African shores next year.

The Modern Day Renaissance

Four ships, MSC Sinfonia (well known to South Africa cruisers), MSC Armonia, MSC Opera, and MSC Lirca have been innovatively renovated in MSC’s ambitious Renaissance Programme. All four beauties boast exquisite, varied dining offerings; outstanding, all-hours entertainment; and a broad choice of relaxation and wellness options. Everything with a touch of Mediterranean flair and flavour.

The family-friendly cruise line has also introduced five separate kids and teenager club areas for guests up to 17 years old, including two playrooms designed and equipped by leading childhood brands Chicco® and LEGO®. Truly a voyage of discovery for every age.
