He could be dubbed the fittest granddad in the world – and his social media followers think so too!

Bill Hendricks, from Dallas, US, spends a majority of his time online as a fitness influencer to his more than 26 000 Instagram followers.

The 67-year-old, who is a former marine, works out at least two hours a day at a local gym and regularly uploads his exercise routines to social media, reports Metro News.

“I was reposted on a group for over forties who keep fit and all of a sudden, I had thousands of people following me and interested in how I managed to look like I do,” says Bill.

“I thought it’d be a fun opportunity to speak with people about keeping fit and to maybe tell them how I keep in shape.”

So, how does the grandad keep fit and healthy? Well, Bill told Daily Mail he consumes two breakfasts a day and has a chicken salad before hitting the gym.

“I eat the same thing every day. I have oats, omelettes, chicken, and salads. I don’t drink at all really – it never really agreed with me.

“I think I was given a physical gift and I don't want to waste that. I’ve always been sporty and kept in good shape,” he says.

Bill, who also worked as a male entertainer in the ’70s, says that he’s not a personal trainer but loves giving people fitness advice.

“I’m not a personal trainer so I don’t really give professional advice. I just tell people what I do as they seem interested.

“I’ve always eaten to stay alive. I see food as fuel. I’m always trying to get my body fat down,” the 67-year-old says.

And although the ripped grandad is turning 68 in April, he reveals he still gets stopped by people on the street who are in awe of his toned body.

“Some people are a bit envious at times but most people are supportive and like to see my progress.”
