The cramps, the bloated stomach, the cravings – and not to mention those emotions – who doesn’t love their period?
While having your monthly flow is part of life and essential in ensuring your body functions normally, there’s no denying that menstruation can be a pain (literally).
But what if we told you there’s a fun way to make aunty Flow’s stay a little shorter?
Have an orgasm. It’s that simple.
“Although no studies have been done on this, it’s likely that menstrual blood in the uterus is squeezed out during orgasm,” Dee Fenner, a gynaecologist in Michigan, US, told The Metro.
Her theory is backed by an article published on Health Line, which explains that the uterus experiences muscle contractions after an orgasm, moving menstrual blood from the uterus and releasing it through the vaginal opening. The contractions after an orgasm can help the uterus shed the blood more quickly.
Yep, this certainly sounds like a theory worth testing.
