As a SAMA Chairperson, Mdluli will oversee the smooth running of the prestigious music awards. She brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in the local music space having been at the helm of a few projects and managed some careers.

Mdluli said she was ready for the challenge. ‘I’m humbled and honoured that so much responsibility has been placed on me. I don’t take this vote of confidence in my abilities lightly. I will work with the team to ensure that we deliver a memorable SAMA24 we can all be proud of.’

Mdluli, a vocalist in her own right, is a Central Johannesburg College graduate in National Diploma in Music Technology and Popular Music. She was the founding member of Jaziel Music Productions in 2005.

In her capacity as Commercial and Operations Director, Mdluli developed and implemented strategies for brands such as Jaziel Brothers, Tsoakae, Nathi, Bongi & Collin and Lesego .She was the driving force behind their multiple large-scale collaborative projects.

She was a Marketing, Promotions and Label Manager at Sheer Sound. She developed a flair for the intricacies around music publishing and became invested in ensuring that artist's rights relative to publishing and royalties are protected. She believes that artists don’t get what they should be getting because of a lack of information about their rights. This has led to her continued fight for transparency and extensive regulation.

Known for her meticulous approach to operations, Mdluli's obsession with high quality output has secured the artists under her guidance multiple national and international accolades.

Mdluli has been instrumental in developing and implementing incubation projects for recording artists working on projects such as the Soul City and Soul Buddyz Talent Show, the Matatiele Youth Development Program, the Dare to Dream Talent Development Project and the Scatech Solar Music Development Study.

Driven by her passion for music, her love for artists and the determination to see the industry move forward, we can safely conclude that the future of the music industry is in safe hands.

We cannot wait to see her thrive.
