One of the multinational companies that benefited from the extension and ballooning of their contracts at Eskom allegedly made a cool R1.9 million profit for picking up the tab of more than R8 million that the power utility had to pay a service provider.
Italian construction company Tenova Mining & Minerals was asked by Eskom officials to pay Mpumalanga-based company, Mugazi Consultancy, R8.6 million in 2016 for training the province’s cooperatives as part of the Kusile Power Station’s R30 million corporate social investment in the region.
