BUSINESS

Trade by the SA Customs Union (SACU) within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is expected to start in a few months.

The AfCFTA, set to be the world’s largest free trade area with hopes of connecting over more than 1 billion people across 55 countries with a combined GDP of about $3.4 trillion (R56.9 trillion), is expected to open growth opportunities on the continent for South African businesses.
