The DA's request for a motion of no confidence against Parliament Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, who is accused of corruption, has been approved by Acting Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli.

In a letter dated 25 March 2024 to the chief whip of DA, Siviwe Gwarube, Tsenoli said:
