This month marks exactly four years since Justice and Correctional Services Minister Ronald Lamola was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa, becoming the country's youngest Cabinet minister. He was only 35.

Several issues, including the transformation of the judicial system, keep Lamola up at night. His portfolio has very high demands and he has been juggling all of them in an effort to streamline the running of the department. 

For the past ten years, the judicial system has been criticised for lack of transformation - from gender to race - within its ranks.
