“Down with racism. Forward with transformation!”

This chant echoed from the grandstand at Hoërskool Jan Viljoen Sports Ground in Randfontein on the West Rand, Gauteng, on Thursday. It was led by Sam Tlhalogang, a parent who told City Press that he had previously downplayed allegations of racism at the school.
