Many from the across the world and of the Christian faith marked Good Friday with a symbolic procession to signify Jesus Christ's last pilgrimage before crucifixion.
Some countries also observed Holy Week to commemorate the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ. The practice involves penitents being voluntarily nailed to a cross as a form of penance, but it is seen as extreme and is strongly discouraged by the Catholic church.
