During his first court appearance on Thursday, Kgosimotho opposed Matila getting bail while Ngemane did not. His bail application was then rolled over to Friday. On his second appearance on Friday, both complainants were absent from court and it was announced that Kgosimotho was no longer opposing the bail. However, Matila was served with two protection orders from both Ngemane and Kgosimotho.

The SABC1 presenter’s bail conditions include avoiding direct or indirect contact with both the complainants - including through a third party.

Additionally, he was denied social media connection with the two. He is not allowed to go anywhere near the complainants’ residences or place of work.

Matila will be back in court on September 13.
