Mthunzi Mdwaba, CEO of Thunja Holdings, was unveiled as UDM's Gauteng premier candidate on Thursday afternoon, 12 April 2024, in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Mdwaba, who is on the UDM’s list of candidates running for Parliament, made headlines last year when he claimed Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande and ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula were implicated in an alleged large-scale tender bribe.
