“This tournament made me.” These were the words of former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain Benson Mhlongo.

He said this during the media launch and draw of the Philly’s Games, an annual mega football tournament that has been played in Thembisa, Ekurhuleni, every December since 1992.
