Even before the #BlackLivesMatter movement hit the South African cricket landscape like a tornado, senior officials within Cricket SA (CSA) were warned that there was a “coordinated plot” to get rid of Jacques Faul, Graeme Smith and Mark Boucher.

“Many people are calling me or sending me messages and warning me about a coordinated plot,” Faul, CSA’s acting chief executive, told City Press’ sister publication Rapport this week.
