Happy people are expected to flock to the Sandton Convention Centre in numbers to witness the celebration of music, food, trade and entertainment, that is the Music and Lifestyle Expo.
With South Africa being the melting pot of Africa and welcoming expats from across the globe, Ndlovu’s outlook on cooking is the best way to accommodate various tastes.
The cheerful gentleman who jokingly requested to be addressed as Vusi as only his team at work calls him “Chef” explained how South Africans enjoyed their mealie on the cob with some salt, while the flavour for mealies in Kenya is lime and chilli. He said:
Ndlovu’s cooking approach is one where he always tries to tap into nostalgia. He explains how he has an awesome cabbage dish that he refers to as Sandton cabbage because of the colourful flavours that he uses for this dish.
He always wants people to remember his meals, and this informs his cooking so that even when they visit the most expensive restaurants in France, they are still able to look back and say that they once tasted a delicacy in South Africa.

The expo will feature exhibitions of fashion, beauty, décor and animation studios. Music lovers can jam to the sounds of the industry’s crème de la crème, such as Ami Faku, Shekinah, Zonke Dikana and Micasa with lead vocalist J Something also set to host a demo cooking masterclass.
