Travelling is perhaps the best way to get over the cold winter months and even the load shedding.  Here are five getaways to help you get through the winter blues:

Seychelles getaway

There is no better way to escape the blistering cold than being on a warm beach. If you’re looking for a fun in the sun, then the Seychelles is perfect for you. The Seychelles is a group of 115 islands located east of Africa in the Indian Ocean and fit with luscious greenery and stunning beaches. The archipelago is home to popular beaches such as Anse Source d'Argent,, Beau Vallon, and Anse Lazio, perfect for the family to do fun activities like snorkelling and swimming, a well-deserved spa day, or even an ice-cold cocktail on the beach.

Getting groovy in Turkey

If you’re more of a cultural traveler who enjoys sightseeing, then Turkey just might be the perfect place for you. Turkey is not only beautiful but it offers sights and scenes that are enticing, diverse and intriguing. Turkey is also known to be a friendly country with people ready to welcome you and very hospitable. If the people going to Turkey for their BBL’s (Brazilian butt lift) isn’t enough to convince you that you definitely get value for your money, then let the thought of warm weather and Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food, be your saving grace.

Set sail on a cruise ship

There is no better way to take a break from the winter months than setting sail on a fun cruise ship for a few days. Cruises such as Club Med two, which offers a top tier Mediterranean experience and the Norwegian Cruise Line which offers great tours of Africa, may just be the perfect options to rid you of your winter blues.
