Since Covid-19 wreaked havoc on the entire world, theatre specialists have noted a slight decline in audiences for live shows. However, where children’s theatre is concerned, it seems educators have noted its value and effectiveness and are, therefore, continuing to request theatre practitioners to bring shows directly to schools.

National Children’s Theatre (NCT) CEO Tamara Guhrs emphasises the importance of taking one’s audiences seriously, regardless of age, because the fact that they are young does not constitute a lack of intelligence and children’s theatre should be approached with cognisance of just how smart they actually are.
