Could social media darling Faith Nketsi and her husband of a year, controversial businessperson, Nzuzo Njilo, be headed for Splitsville?

This was hinted by Nketsi on the fifth season of her reality show, Have Faith.

This comes at the back of the influencer revealing that she moved out of the marital home she shared with Njilo and their daughter. She moved back into her mother’s house.

The socialite, who also tried her luck in music, said seeing her marriage crumble was embarrassing for her, adding that she was working on getting a bigger place for herself, her daughter and her mother, to rent out the latter's house.

It’s such an embarrassing situation. I am embarrassed for my soul. As much as I can say I want [my daughter] to have a mother and father, I sometimes feel like if I stay in the marriage, I will end up in a mental institution. We need this time apart for me to make my decision [of ending the marriage].

On more than one occasion, Nketsi's husband made headlines for all the wrong reasons after being labelled a scammer and fraudster. He handed himself over to the Port Shepstone Police Station in KwaZulu-Natal in connection with a fraud case.

His other fraud case was withdrawn at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court in June after his legal team made representations.

Speaking to her mother, Nketsi questioned if she should take the easy way out by filing for a divorce or stay and be a fool.

“Every time I say ‘okay, it’s fine, let me stick it through’, I always get disappointed in the worst way possible. Is this even the life I want? Maybe what I want is not even what I want. I can’t even believe that this is even my life, I didn’t get married thinking that I was going to get divorced, I got married thinking that this is my forever, this is the father of my child, this is who I want to build a family with.

She added:

Now that I have to go back and say ‘oops, guys you know what, we might just be changing our minds’ is so dreadful, and I want to do it when I am sure of the decision that I am going to make. If I decide to give my marriage a 10th or 20th chance, then there might not be a need to talk to my dad.

The reality TV star revealed that she tried seeing a therapist.

“Therapy has worked because I am heard, I can talk and I don’t feel like I’m crazy. You know when sometimes things happen, you feel like ‘am I the crazy one?’”.

She and her mom were seen visiting a lawyer where she asked that since she and Njilo did not sign any documents, would there be a need for a divorce. The lawyer said she and Njilo were married customarily and still needed to divorce.

“It’s such a shame that it had to come to this point. I don’t even know if I am ever going to get a family that loves me the way that they loved me, and that will accept me the way that they have accepted me,” said an emotional Nketsi.
