TV darling Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo is celebrating Heritage Month in style after collaborating with Halo Heritage to launch Boity Pink Sapphire fragrance.
The 30-year-old rapper announced her partnership with Halo Heritage last night on her Instagram account.
“I’m so excited to finally let you know about this passion project. I’ve partnered with Halo Heritage to create Boity Pink Sapphire, a scent for a powerful African queen.”
Her post was followed by comments from her industry colleagues congratulating her on the new business venture.
The TV personality shared that she grabbed the opportunity with both hands when it came along.
“With my previous experience co-creating body perfumes, I considered this the sensible next step that would give consumers broader insight into what I can offer as a businesswoman. After turning 30, I wanted to work on a fragrance geared towards a more mature audience, so, in many ways, this collaboration was perfect timing,” said the excited Thulo.
The idea behind the fragrance was to create a contrast between sweetness and strength, while balancing soft sensuality with power and capturing the duality of women in its unique blend.
Pink Sapphire is best described as an ode to powerful, modern African women – like Thulo herself in her role as partner and muse.
She felt the colour turquoise perfectly encapsulated the serenity and sensuality that Pink Sapphire represents.
The fragrance’s icon and embellished chain detail also contain quirky symbolism and were inspired by a necklace Thulo is often seen wearing.
“This was a way to add a personal touch and an emotional connection to the overall design,” she shared.

Halo Heritage is a luxurious natural haircare and fine fragrance range crafted for African women.
Halo Heritage and Thulo worked closely with French perfumer Émilie Bouge, who has more than 22 years of experience in the art of perfumery.
The fragrance is manufactured in Grasse, a town on the French Riviera that is known for being the perfume capital of the world.
“It’s a powerful but elegant fragrance. The top notes are sugar, fresh tangerine and wild marigold. After a few moments, you smell the amber, jasmine and French lavender, which balance the sweeter notes perfectly. I just love it!” said Thulo.
CEO of Halo Heritage, Inge Peacock, said that when she met Thulo for the first time and hugged her, her energy and essence felt “pink”, like the colour of love.
“She’s elegant, yet approachable; down-to-earth, but sophisticated. Together, we created a signature scent that’s fit for the sensual, feminine, multifaceted woman who’s in charge of her own destiny. There couldn’t have been a better brand alignment, as creating a fragrance has been a lifelong dream of Boity’s,” said Peacock.
