After spending more than a year and a half at national radio station Metro FM, media personality Mantsoe Tsasti, known as Mantsoe Pout, has returned to 947.

The bubbly personality has taken over the station’s Weekend Breakfast from TV host and radio presenter Hulisani Ravele who has bid the station farewell.

Speaking to City Press about her return to 947, Tsatsi who hosted her first show on Saturday, said she was pleased to be back home, adding:

I'm happy to be back where I truly believe I belong. I'm so excited to join this team [again]. Being here now validates me. It confirms that I did a good job the last time I was here and removes all doubt I might have had. It makes me want to give it my very best.

Following rape allegations against DJ Fresh which saw him get fired from the radio station, Tsatsi who co-hosted the show "Fresh on 947" with the popular DJ was "let go".

However, DJ Fresh was subsequently cleared of all allegations against him.

She told City Press that although this reunion had come to her in a dream, which left her confused, she knew it was inevitable.

Speaking about being replaced by her best friend, Thando Thabethe, when she left 947, 'Tsatsi said she and Thabethe always knew that this was a possibility in the media space, adding that while it had affected their friendship and left her " heartbroken", they had gotten over the hurdle.

Yes, we took a dent in our friendship but we're in a very good place because we are very intentional in staying friends and not letting a career hurdle change that.

Addressing the future of her YouTube channel, Moments with Manstoe, the broadcaster said "it is not going nowhere."

"We just finished shooting season one and are in pre-production for season two. I have a very dedicated team and we have new things on the horizon that I'm really excited about. So yes, Moments with Mantsoe isn't going anywhere. In fact, we are growing, and you'll find out soon about that growth."

Tsatsi, who hosted Radioactive With Mantsoe Pout on Metro FM from midnight to 3am on weekends, shared how working at Metro FM played a pivotal role in her growth as a radio personality.

I had the country waiting for me every other day. That's huge...I'm so grateful for the time and the friends I made. The management team there took a shot, and we made great radio. I definitely grew, even personally, while at Metro. I'll never forget it.

She said people will enjoy her breakfast show on 947.

"I want people to look forward to waking up with me on weekends. It's going to be entertaining, fun and in touch with Joburg."
