Marvel's new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a worthwhile surprise that will keep you glued to your seat until the very end.
The stunning cinematic visuals and Afro-fusion soundtracks lure you into the exotic and surreal Wakanda, where the story unfolds.
I bet Marvel’s fans did not see this one coming. Who could have predicted that this year’s Black Panther is a lab-tech-geek-turned kick-ass woman?
While the original Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman’s, death left a hole in the heart of all Marvel fans, the panther’s legacy lives on.
The film captures what can only be described as the beautiful transformation of the character Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, from Wakanda’s lead scientist princess to the formidable Black Panther.

Wakanda Forever premiere in Lagos
The rise of an unknown underwater villain plants a seed of vengeance that propels the rise of the Black Panther within Shuri.
Speaking to City Press, South African actress Connie Chiume, who plays a tribe elder, said: “This is the end product of the work that we have been doing and I am hoping that everyone will be as excited as I am.”
Chiume said that the pandemic affected the filming of the sequel and they were tested throughout the filming process.
“It became easy because we had to go through that. You can imagine a crew and cast of over 500 people going for a test every two days but it is a sacrifice we had to make.”
Having watched the film at the Nigerian premiere, which she hosted, radio and TV presenter Anele Mdoda had this to say about the movie:

“An amazing cinematic work. It is brilliant. I think the US director, Ryan Coogler, is really great. When I spoke to the cast, they told me he does not hire you if you are not empathetic. You must be more than an actor.”
Mdoda said the sequel is even better than the first: “Everything, the camera angles, the music, the acting and storyline, the emotions and laughs, cinematic visuals. I have watched it three times, it is so good.”
