It's baby season for US-born South African YouTuber and influencer Philisiwe “Lee” Khuzwayo, as she welcomes her baby into the world with a video that basically broke the internet.

The beauty and lifestyle content creator shared the news of her baby with a heartfelt TikTok video on Sunday. The video began with Khuzwayo looking towards the ocean and then emotionally documenting her pregnancy journey with her baby daddy, Sibs Jali.

In the video, we also see Khuzwayo announcing the news to her family and friends in intimate moments they happily share with one another. The video ends with the baby crying as she and Jali celebrate the birth of their baby only known to the world as KLH.

Khuzwayo’s relationship history has been rather turbulent. Last year, the 29-year-old was at the centre of divorce rumours, which eventually turned out to be true, with her then-husband Michael Mhalanga.

The two married in November 2019 and Khuzwayo moved into their marital home in Johannesburg following the wedding celebration. However, the two would only spend two-and-a-half years with one another, and in July 2022, rumours began to circulate that the two were no longer together and were going through a nasty divorce.

Amid the divorce rumours, it was alleged that the reason for the divorce came as a result of Mhlanga’s alleged infidelity. Khuzwayo swiftly moved out of her marital home and moved back to Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, where she is from.

While Khuzwayo navigated a new single life, social media celebrated as many were more than happy to shoot their shot. One Twitter user wrote:

While others said:

It didn’t take long for the influencer to bounce back though, as her pregnancy came just a few short months after her divorce, and it seems Jali and Khuzwayo are in good spirits about the birth of their child.

While we don’t know much about the gender and name of the baby apart from their initials, it seems South Africans are more than happy to be sharing the joys of Khuzwayo’s new bundle of joy, some even calling on the new Showmax reality TV show, Mommy Club, to cast Khuzwayo as its newest mommy.
