THEY looked "too hot" to keep.

The thugs stole the cars but decided to dump them. Police are now looking for thugs who stole these two cars and dumped them in Thembisa, Ekurhuleni.

The first recovered vehicle was a Gautrain bakkie. The marked white Isuzu bakkie was found dumped on the pavement in Maokeng section in Thembisa on Friday morning, 26 April. The bakkie had been parked on the pavement as if the driver wasn't far. But as the day progressed, residents became suspicious and contacted police.

Marie Mashishi, spokeswoman for EMPD said investigations revealed that the abandoned bakkie, which is a Light Delivery Vehicle (LDV), was from Gautrain premises in Midrand.

"The EMPD officers received information about the bakkie and investigations revealed it was stolen in the early hours of the morning," said Mashishi.
