Cape Town - There is hope for the estimated eight out of ten matriculants in South Africa who will not be able to study on a campus in 2017.
According to Stiaan Klue, executive dean and CEO of private tertiary tuition provider The Tax Faculty, low acceptance rates are becoming a reality and it is expected that only two out of every ten matriculants will be accepted at SA campuses for the 2017 academic year.
In Klue's view, there is a need to broaden the reach of accredited tertiary education. Online learning, for instance, can be a cost-effective way to become more educated.
