Day hospital group Advanced Health is unloading three of its hospitals, following its struggle to crack the day surgery market in South Africa and the impact of Covid-19.

Advanced Health has begun a restructuring process, announcing on Monday that it is considering measures to simplify its group structure and reduce operational overhead costs.

Advanced Health CEO Gerhard van Emmenis said the group has been “severely” impacted by Covid-19.
