After 30 years at the helm, South Africa's longest serving CEO amongst the JSE's more than 350 companies is staying a further two years to spearhead the reinvention of the 104-year-old Truworths.

Questions have been raised about the length of his tenure and the falling market share of a retailer facing fierce local and international competition, but Michael Mark is set to steer the retailer into the value segment.
