FirstRand, SA's largest banking group, has announced a massive management shake-up that will see its CEO Alan Pullinger step down early next year and be replaced by chief operating officer Mary Vilakazi.

Pullinger, who has been at the helm of FirstRand since 2018, will step down with effect from 1 April, and at the time of his appointment had indicated he expected to serve in the role for only six years.
