One year into his new job, Woolworths group CEO Roy Bagattini believes that the clothes sold at its stores recently were either unfashionable or too expensive. This follows years of negative sales growth for Woolworths' fashion business. 

The Cape Town-headquartered retailer said that it has started with the process of repositioning its fashion business, especially after performance in that sector disappointed with a sales decline of 11.2% for the six months ended 27 December.
