Logistics-focused Equites Property Fund says booming demand for its type of assets in SA has seen it switch its focus away from the UK. While load shedding, water shortages, and shoddy municipal services generally are a headache for landlords and tenants, it's also offering an opportunity for it to differentiate itself from competitors.
Equites, valued at about R11 billion on the JSE, has a portfolio worth R27 billion, mostly in SA, and it busy developing R3.7 billion worth of logistics hubs across 300 000-odd square metres of prime space around SA.
