South Africa has a long history of social lending, but a new peer-to-peer lending platform has more ambitious targets than taking away some share of consumers savings. It is challenging banks' lending rates and wants to venture into home loans too, a task that even challenger banks such as Discovery Bank and TymeBank have not set their eyes on yet.
