A South African insurance executive who sent dozens of company documents and trade secrets to her Gmail account before resigning has been barred from working in the financial services industry.
Trishantha Singh asked the Financial Services Tribunal to reconsider her debarment following action against her by Marsh, a prominent US-headquartered insurance broker and risk adviser.
She said she needed more than 70 documents - including several relating to current and former clients such as Toyota, Shell, Sparex and BSI Steel - to work remotely and to press a racial discrimination claim at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation & Arbitration (CCMA).
