SA's largest food producer, Tiger Brands, is ramping up water storage capacity at most of its manufacturing sites as interruptions become increasingly common due to relentless load shedding.
CEO Noel Doyle told News24 this week that water supply was an "emerging issue" due to consistent power interruptions.
As a result, Tiger Brands was undertaking work to increase on-site water storage capacity to mitigate the adverse effect of load shedding on municipal water supply at 38 out of its 41 sites, with key projects at 10 sites.
