Liverpool 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool’s final match under Jurgen Klopp concluded in victorious fashion as a 2-0 win overcame Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

The travelling outfit were on the back-foot and a man down too as Nelson Semedo’s flying challenge on Alexis Mac Allister were deemed too dangerous and was subsequently dismissed.

Mac Allister turned up at the other end minutes later and got the breakthrough courtesy of a cheeky header from a few yards out.

Defender Jarell Quansah extended the lead when finished from close-range following a goal-mouth scramble involving Mohamed Salah.

Brighton & Hove Albion 0-2 Manchester United

Manchester United finished the campaign in eight spot in the Premier League after a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

In the season-ending clash, where Brighton bid farewell to coach Roberto De Zerbi and United welcomed back Lisandro Martinez to the first-team squad.

With a draw seemingly on the cards, the Red Devils were ahead courtesy of an unlikely character in Diogo Dalot whose mazy run from deep led to a bottom-corner finish.

Danish international Rasmus Hojlund produced a moment of brilliance two minutes to the end and confirmed a positive closure to the campaign.

Sheffield United 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from the midweek disappointment and edged the relegated Sheffield United 3-0 to finish fifth on the table.

The visitors presented a strong line-up in their final clash of the season, with the man on everyone’s lips Heung Min-Son continuing in the attack.

Swedish international Dejan Kulusevski made the opening over ten minutes played after his shot flew across the face of goal and struck the inside post on-route to the net.

The visitors added to the tally earlier in the second period when Pedro Porro picked up a layoff across the area from Brennan Johnson and fired in.

Kulusevski made the points completely safe later on after managing to get space in the box to finish with ease, as it finished 3-0.

Crystal Palace 5-0 Aston Villa

Jean-Philippe Mateta nabbed a hat-trick to steer Crystal Palace to a dominant 5-0 victory over Aston Villa out at Selhurst Park.

Frenchman Jean-Philippe Mateta continued his fine form this campaign and opened the deadlock where he beat Robin Olsen through a low finish.

It didn’t end there though as the free-scoring Mateta fired a second before halftime with powerful finish to the roof of the net and bagged his 18th strike of the season.

The Eagles put more misery on the Clarets a little past the break after Eberechi Eze came in left of the box to find an angle and fired in the bottom-corner.

Mateta continued to steal the show when he pulled out wide following a decent move from deep and picked out the bottom-corner.

Unai Emery’s men remained completely crestfallen in the latter stages as Eze bagged his brace with a powerful strike that gave Olsen no chance.

Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth

Chelsea finished the season in the top-sixth on the table after seeing off Bournemouth 2-1 and concluded matters on a positive note.

The Blues bid farewell to Thiago Silva and missed Mykhailo Mudryk as well as Reece James in a quest to end the season on a decent footing.

Midfield hardman Moses Caicedo issued them the perfect platform soon after kickoff through a sumptuous finish from the half-way line.

The Blues extended the lead two minutes in the second half when Raheem Sterling fired through the legs of Neto through an angled shot.

Bournemouth had a lifeline barely a minute later as Benoit Badiashile tucked in his own net after attempting a defensive clearance.
