Think your fave soapie is the best? Why not make it official?

The South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) are just around the corner and once again, soapie lovers are given the opportunity to vote for what they think is the best TV soapie of the year.

Considering how popular soapies are in South Africa, we anticipate a very narrow win.

There have been a few additions to this year’s category.

This will be Isibaya’s first appearance at the SAFTAs in the best  TV soapie category since Mzansi Magic decided to extend it into a five-day-a-week soapie following its success and popularity.

Muvhango fans will be disappointed to know that their fave show will not be competing this year. Their exclusion came after it failed to place its entry.

If you want your favourite soapie to win, you can send an sms to 3310 with the number allocated to your preferred choice. The numbers allocated to TV soaps are as follows:
