Jacqui Williams is the owner of Grave Metallum Jewellery, and sells handcrafted pieces that incorporate the remains of the dead.

She uses hair, ashes and has even been asked to create a necklace from an IUD. Each custom piece takes Jacqui six to eight weeks and costs between AU$ 350 and AU$ 10 000 (between R3 700 and R107 000).

The jewellery designer admits she's always been drawn to the morbid side of life, even as a child.
"I'm motivated by making thought-provoking pieces from things that hold a taboo," says Jacqui.
