Uh oh, seems like there's trouble in fashion paradise.
Dior has locked horns with fellow luxury label Valentino requesting compensation from the Italian brand after a fashion show that Dior claims "hampered" their business.
According to WWD, Valentino staged a fashion show on the Spanish Steps on Friday evening, drawing on clusters of spectators. While this was great news for Valentino, the retail manager of Christian Dior Italia was not so happy, saying the fashion show caused a disruption for their store, which faces the Spanish Steps.
In a letter sent to Valentino, Dior requested compensation in the amount of 100 000 euros (R1.7 million), to be paid in 15 days.

While oragnisers of the fashion show had the required permits necessary to hold the event at the popular location, they reportedly assured shop owners that foot traffic to their stores would not be hindered, but Dior write that this was "not reflected in any way" by the situation on the night.
The French fashion house states that access to its store was "hampered" and customers were "refused access and blocked at the barriers," adding that the incident was "amplified" by the Valentino event.
Should the requested sum not be paid in 15 days, Dior has stated it would "adopt all the necessary measures to protect its rights."
