Elle magazine's latest cover is genius

accreditation
We’re so used to seeing models and celebrities on the covers of magazines depicting unrealistic and almost unattainable standards of beauty. They are perfectly airbrushed and polished. Their flaws deleted from view, leaving them almost unrealistic looking.

We have forgotten that there is an alternative. Women like you and me, flaws and all.

In their latest issue, ELLE magazine is doing things a little differently from most magazines out there.

Anyone able to get their hands on the latest issue of ELLE Australia can now call themselves a cover star and join the ranks of celebs like Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian.

According to Buzzfeed, the October edition of this popular fashion magazine replaced its cover page with a mirror-like material.

So, you lift the cover to your face and your face will appear – however blurred - on the mag's cover.

With the intention of breaking ground, especially in the fashion and beauty industry, ELLE celebrates the varying complexities of womanhood.

Women all over social media are showing us their covers.
