Hair enthusiasts are in for a treat as Rihanna files trademark for Fenty Hair

If you thought Rihanna was anywhere from stopping her take over the beauty industry, think again, and if you believe you are about to get that Fenty Album, also think again.

The billionaire brand is reported to be expanding, and this time around, with a haircare brand. First, Fenty launched makeup and then branched into Fenty skin. Within their skin range, the brand recently launched an eye cream called Flash Nap Instant Revival Gel Eye Cream to go along with their cleanser, toner and moisturisers.

In addition, the brand also included a body tint that adds a subtle glow in seven colours, called Body Sauce. According to legal documents, Rihanna’s company Roraj Trade LLC filed a new trademark application titled Fenty Hair.

The latest addition is intended to cover the categories of hair care preparations, dandruff shampoo, and hair waving preparations, hair colouring, straightening and hair glitter. The Fenty hair news comes after reports that Rihanna’s Fenty fashion line with LVMH will be shutting down.

The mogul also owns Savage Fenty, a lingerie brand that she launched in 2018 and is now worth over R14 billion.

The lingerie brand recently introduced its first little person ambassador, Tamera McLaughlin. A 23-year-old social media influencer from Washington DC, who gained her influencer title for her dancing videos and comedic sketches.

Fenty hair hasn’t launched yet, but already Rihanna was trending at number one on Twitter, with followers reacting to the news in both excitement and disappointment about not get the promised R9 album.

One user says, “Can’t wait to be around the house in my Fenty hair, Fenty skin on, in my Savage x Fenty, doing my Fenty hair, wearing Fenty x Puma, while listening to absolutely NOTHING.”

Another added, “At first I was annoyed, but then I thought about applying my Fenty wave pomade and brushing my hair with my Fenty brush before putting on my Fenty durag, and now I’m a little less annoyed.”
