Supermodel Kate Moss has opened up about the dark side of the fashion industry, telling the BBC about moments on set when she felt uncomfortable as an young star.
Kate was just 15 when she took part in a photo shoot for a bra catalogue, but something about it felt off.
"He [the photographer] said 'take your top off.' And I took my top off, and I was really shy then... and I could feel there was something wrong, so I got my stuff and ran away," Kate said during her interview with the BBC radio programme Desert Island Discs, according to CBS News.
The model recalled another shoot where photographer Corrine Day, who she says was a close friend of hers, forced her to snort like a pig to get the perfect shot.
Kate revealed that she "cried a lot", feeling uncomfortable with that and with being asked to get naked. "I didn't want to take my top off... I was really, really self-conscious about my body, and she would say, 'If you don't take your top off, I'm not going to book you for Elle,' and I would cry."
In 1992, Kate worked on a Calvin Klein photo shoot alongside Mark Wahlberg and recalled feeling "vulnerable and scared" with all the attention being on Mark and his entourage.
The model had major anxiety. "It would manifest as like, nausea, and I couldn't get out of bed," she explained, saying the feeling went away after shooting the campaign.

Kate now runs her own modelling agency, to which her daughter belongs. About the advice she has given her daughter, the model said: "I've said to her, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. If you don't want to do this shoot, if you don't feel comfortable, if you don't want to model, don't do it."
