Being mindful of these acronyms can help you achieves your goals Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound. You're not going to see progress immediately; it takes time and positive influence.
2. Celebrate the small wins
Wanting too much in a short period can dent your motivation. Instead, start January with smaller goals. Give yourself a weekly challenge, and remember to celebrate each victory. It can be as small as running your first 2km without stopping or completing ten burpees without stopping.
3. Be accountable
We found that involving your friends or family can help motivate you to stick to your goals. Having your peers join in can also make it fun for everyone; this can help you stay focused on your goals.
4. Don't be too hard on yourself
Don't be your worst enemy! There will be days where your mind subconsciously works against you. Aim to meal prep a week in advance and schedule workout sessions to make things easier when you lack motivation. The goal is to maintain the lifestyle changes.
5. Consistency is key!
Our greatest challenge is remaining consistent, and in this instance, to 'witness the difference' consistency is an essential component when working towards goals. Habits become second nature with consistency.
