South African designer Palesa Mokubung's love for African rich history always shines through in her regal and queenly garments.
Her design house, Mantsho, is known for the fabric, colour, bold patterns that boast royalty. 'The African trend dictator' Mantsho refers to itself, showcased the South African Fashion Week (SAFW) AW22 collection, 'IsiCholo.'

Explaining the inspiration behind her latest Mantsho collection dubbed 'IsiCholo', she says, "This name given to the iconic grand hairstyles worn by Zulu women in the 1800s. In the 19th century, Zulu women reimagined their hairstyle; through their creativity, resourcefulness, and inspiration, they started creating hats that took the statuesque shape of their iconic hairstyles."
